Background and technique:
In Zimbabwe, where I grew up, I fell in love with the beauty of nature and wildlife. When my talent for art developed, it seemed only natural to combine the two. I work in mixed media, using color pencil to capture every detail of the animals or birds and then, by using watercolor, place it against a softer background...........................................
Estelle's work has been exhibited in several South African galleries. It is also on many commercial items, including writing paper, cards, wrapping paper, and calendars featuring endangered wildlife. Apart from wildlife and bird studies, she will undertake work on commission, doing portraits, pets, landscapes and flower studies, both in watercolor and oil. Estelle is related to the well-known South African artist, Hugo Naude, and is from a family of artists.
Each painting is an original and is supplied with a letter of authenticity. The paintings are mounted and unframed.
